Feature Requests

Requesting the addition of a search bar in the "Items to Order" section via Request Feature. Currently, users have to manually scroll through the list to find specific items, which can be time-consuming. Adding a search bar will make it much easier for users to quickly find the items they need, improving efficiency and user experience.

Enable Free Text fields to support multi-line input / paragraph formatting, similar to the Description field. Currently, only the Description field supports multi-line input, allowing users to type paragraphs. All other Free Text fields only support a single-line entry. Since the Description field can only be used once in each form, this limits forms that require multiple long-form text responses. Why This Is Useful: Some fields require detailed explanations or long descriptions. Users need to enter structured or multi-paragraph information in more than one field. Enable embedding or attaching an external link at every stage of the Request flow, across all statuses. This means that at each status (custom statuses), responders will see a clickable link that redirects them to an external site or system when needed. To include Requestor Name field in the service request form. Currently this field is not available as a field option in the form builder.

When downloading or generating a PDF file for a service request/fault report, any linked checklists or other service request form should be included in the next pages of the PDF file.

Enable Custom Service Request forms to support a structured layout similar to PTW/checklist, including: Section headers / titles to organize groups of fields Ability to group related questions under each section Optional multi-step / collapsible section layout for long or complex forms. [OMB]

Enable the form to perform basic math calculations — for example, automatically computing the duration (in hours or days) based on the selected start and end dates. This would be useful for scenarios like event bookings, permit applications, or service durations where users need to know the total time automatically without manual calculation. Currently, the Custom Service Request form does not support the Location Field with automatic tagging. Proposed Improvement: Enable a Location Field in the Custom Service Request form that can auto-tag the correct location based on synonyms -- similar to how the Fault Reporting form works.

Enable the “Items to Order” feature to be directly linked to the Parts module so that stock levels are automatically updated when orders are fulfilled. Proposed Functionality: When a requestor orders items through the “Items to Order” field: The system checks current stock quantity from the Parts inventory and displays it to the requestor. Upon request completion or approval, the quantity of the ordered items is automatically deducted from the linked part in the inventory.
