Currently, linking a request to an asset is manual. Users mentioned that technicians often forget to link, resulting in missing maintenance history for the asset.

Add an option to auto-link assets to requests based on a rule (e.g. via workflow, form selection, or request type).

Yes, it is often an issue that technicians often forget to link assets. But at the same time, would fixed workflow rules for automated linking accurately link the assets? E.g. do all requests of a certain type get linked to the same asset?
