Introduce separate dropdown fields for each level of location hierarchy, such as:
  • Location (Main site / building)
  • Sub-Location (Block / floor / area)
  • Sub-Sub Location (Unit / room / equipment zone)
Each dropdown should dynamically filter based on the previous selection.
Currently, Location Tags and Sub-Location Tags are selected from a single dropdown menu. Users must expand the location hierarchy within the same field to locate and select the correct sub-location.
  • Not intuitive for requestors unfamiliar with the location structure
  • Requires multiple clicks to expand and navigate the hierarchy
  • Slower request submission, especially for sites with many sub-locations
